Martinis in Atlanta...

Last night some of my collegues and I went to a going away party for one of my co-worker. We went to a place called Olives Waterside http://www.oliveswaterside.com/ in Atlanta, GA (North Atlanta, at the top of the perimeter). Great selection of Martinis... all sorts of Martinis but I still prefer Grey Goose Vodka with olive a little dirty. The appetizers there were pretty good also, standard stuff... Calamari, bruchetta, crab cakes, etc... I do recommend the Martinis and the place for its atmosphere.

Hole in the wall in Doraville, GA

Yesterday we ended up in this hole in the wall type restaurant in Doraville, GA serving Korean food. It is called 88 Tofu House. The restaurant is not a place you would take your significant other to a first or second date... Pot holes in the parking lot, nothing fancy inside, just some tables and chairs :)

The food is either you will like it or hate it, the Tofu soup was flavorful, it arrived bubbling hot in a superheated bowl. It came with a side bowl of rice. Of course, it came with an assortment of KimChee pickle veggies.

If you are daring, I would recommend it.

Decent place to eat in Florence

Try some non franchised restaurants...

IL Latini http://www.illatini.com, a decent eating establishment in Florence, Italy. You may be seated with strangers in communal tables, but that is just part of the fun... The food is great and the wine bottles are bottomless...
